SERDANG - A total of 50 participants comprising the Tun Abdul Rahman Shah Secondary School (SERATAS), Kajang Federal Religious Secondary School, SS17 Secondary School, Subang Jaya and Sekolah Menengah Sains Alam Shah, Kuala Lumpur participated in the National Mathematics Camp INSPEM 2019. This program was organized with SERATAS and was also collaborated with the Malaysian Mathematics Society Association (PERSAMA), Academic Scientist of Malaysian Mathematic Science (AISMM) and Malaysian Cryptography Research Society (MSCR).
The program was officiated by the Deputy Director of the Institute for Mathematical Research (INSPEM), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hishamuddin Zainuddin on June 28, 2019 at the Al-Farabi Seminar Room, INSPEM Building, UPM.
"The organizing of this program gives many students new exposure on the uniqueness of mathematical knowledge in everyday life. Themed Mathematical Exploration Reaching Knowledge, it is hoped this noble effort could contribute to the advancement of mathematical science in the future, "he said when launching the program.
Deputy Teachers of SERATAS, Mrs. Jaslina Abdul Jalil said in his speech that the organization of the National Mathematics Camp that has been upgraded to the national level should be held every year so that it can assist pupils since at the school level to be interested in the field of mathematics to be the basis for students in mastering the field of engineering and technology science when they are in the ivory tower.
The organization of this sixth time math camp has achieved its objectives and successfully completed.
