Programme Requirement

PROGRAMME

1. Doctor of Philosophy

A student pursuing a PhD degree with thesis shall:

(i) Submit a thesis for examination at the end of the study and comply with any other specific requirement of the relevant graduate programme as advised by the Advisor/Supervisor.

(ii) Pass the Comprehensive Examination which comprises two parts: written and oral examinations in the third or fourth semester.

2. Master of Science (with thesis)

A student pursuing Masters degree with thesis shall submit a thesis for examination at the end of the study and comply with any other specific requirement of the relevant graduate programme as advised by the advisor/supervisor.

PROGRAMME REQUIREMENT

1. Proposal Seminar

Students enrolling under Master of science programme are required to register one credit of Proposal Seminar (SPS5903) in the first or second semester

or

Students enrolling under Doctor of Philosophy programme are required to register one credit of Proposal Seminar (SPS6903) in the first or second semester.

2. Final Seminar

Students enrolling under Master of Science programme are required to register one credit of Final Seminar (FSA5905) in the third or fourth semester

or

Students enrolling under Doctor of Philosophy programme are required to register one credit of Final Seminar (FSA6905) in the fourth or fifth semester.

3. Publication

Student enrolling under Master of Science programme must publish one journal article (published or accepted) before graduated;

or

Students enrolling under Doctor of Philosophy programme must publish two journal articles (published/accepted).
