Eksploratory Research Grant Scheme (ERGS)

Exploratory Research Grant Scheme ( ERGS ) is a research grant from the Ministry of Education it is to promote and encourage the exploration of the early research that can generate knowledge and enhance knowledge to contribute to the intellectual level , the creation of new technologies and the proliferation of a dynamic culture in line with national aspirations . Exploratory research is research that can answer the question of " what " and "where " . Research of this kind can generate new ideas in a domain of knowledge that has not been fully explored. Essentially exploratory research aimed at finding new things and find out the secrets contained in the domain of knowledge. In addition to assisting the generation of a new discipline , exploratory research can also identify problems related to the specific research areas . This research aims to encourage inquisitive minds , exploring new ideas and concepts that can be a catalyst for finding new and innovative creation that can expand the boundaries of knowledge. ERGS grants cover areas that will support the country's strategic agenda . The areas identified are Pure and Applied Chemistry (Pure and Applied Sciences ) , Technology and Engineering ( Technology and Engineering) , Science and Clinical Health ( Clinical and Health Sciences ) , Social Sciences (Social Sciences ) , Literature and the Arts Professional ( Arts and Applied Arts) Natural Sciences and National Heritage (Natural Sciences and National Heritage ) , Defence and Security ( Defence and Security )
