Grant Universiti Putra Malaysia research grant from the University Research or special provisions RU funds . Funding grants are an initiative of the University to meet the Key Performance Index ( KPI ) Research Universities, to produce publications in refereed journals and high impact, to publish books or chapters in books, to produce patents and product / technology that can commercialization , bridging the gap between research discovery and commercialization, to increase the number of graduate students who are graduating , and to increase the number of researchers (principal investigator ) .
