Assalammualaikum and Salam Sejahtera Senior Fellows, Fellows, and Expert Network of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia, INVITATION – NOBEL LAUREATE LECTURE BY SIR PAUL NURSE Sir Paul Nurse OM CH FRS is a geneticist and cell biologist who works on how the eukaryotic cell cycle is controlled. His major work has been on the cyclin-dependent protein kinases and how they regulate cell reproduction. He is the Director of the Francis Crick Institute in London, Chancellor of the University of Bristol, and has served as President of the Royal Society, Chief Executive of Cancer Research UK and President of Rockefeller University. In 2020 he wrote “What is Life” which has been published in 22 countries. As one of the initiatives to showcase prominent role-model in the field of Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI), the Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM) in collaboration with National Institutes of Biotechnology Malaysia (NIBM) cordially invites you to attend a lecture by the esteemed Sir Paul Nurse titled “What is Life” where he will be discussing five great ideas of biology, ranging from the ‘Cell’ to ‘the Logic of Life’.
