Numerical Analysis

Numerical Analysis at the Universiti Putra Malaysia Department of Mathematics is primarily concerned with the development of numerical methods for computing approximate solutions to differential and integral equations. Techniques and expertise include analysis of iterative methods, stability and error analysis. The fields include numerical solutions of stiff ordinary differential equations, delay differential equations and boundary value problems. As well as doing research into theoretical numerical analysis, the group also conduct research with applications to other areas of science and engineering which overlaps with interdisciplinary research group in the department.
