20 August 2025 – The Institute for Mathematical Research (INSPEM), UPM, conducted an official visit to the FGV Innovation Center located in Bandar Enstek, Nilai. The visit was led by the Deputy Director of INSPEM, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nor Asilah Wati Abdul Hamid, together with INSPEM Research Officers. The main objective of the visit was to strengthen collaborative ties and explore potential strategic collaborations that could support the research and development (R&D) agenda of both parties. The Head of FGV Innovation Center, Dr. Lee Yang Ping, welcomed INSPEM’s aspiration to build a sustainable framework of collaboration. He emphasized that working together with research institutions such as INSPEM could further enhance FGV’s efforts in accelerating innovation, particularly in the areas of microbiology, tissue culture, cloning, genomics, and bioinformatics. During the visit, the INSPEM delegation was also given an in-depth briefing on various research and innovation initiatives carried out at the FGV Innovation Center. The delegation also had the opportunity to tour the high-tech research facilities that serve as the backbone of FGV’s R&D agenda.
