Interdisciplinary Computing and Statistical Laboratory

Interdisciplinary Computing and Statistical Laboratory (ICSL) was, formerly known as Laboratory of Computational Statistics and Operational Research was established on 1st April 2002 in Institute for Mathematical Research. This laboratory was established to conduct interdisciplinary research in mathematics and statistics interfacing with various branches of science namely physics, biology, engineering, computer science, finance and cognitive science.

 

The objectives of the laboratory are:

  • To focus on collaborative scientific research and development in statistics, computer science, physical sciences and cognitive science.
  • To encourage and exploit those areas of mathematics and statistics that are of relevance to other sciences and the industries.
